After last
year’s great success with the Black Bra Competition, ALFA proudly
presents:
ALFA, the association of literature and film friends in the Algarve, is
running its third multimedia Competition .
The theme is ´Blue Garden´.
It can be a painting, photo, sculpture, song,
or any other medium.
The entry must be your own work.
Its title must not only be ´blue garden´ as the entries need to be distinguishable.
The entries will be exhibited in an interactive exhibition in the Convento S. José thus
every visitor votes for
his/her favourite item. The entry with most votes wins:
The ALFI*
*ALFI is ALFA’s mascot, a
reading rat, designed in Raku ceramic technique by German artist Christa
Widmann. In other competitions you can win an Oscar or a globe – here
you can win an Alfi.
The best entries will be published in a calender.
Competition Rules
Your entry should be on CD in JPG.format., 300dpi
Together with the following
information:
Name and address of the artist, Title of the Work, Date of Birth,
permission to publish the work.
Price of the item (if sold,
20 % goes to ALFA)
Please enclose 5 Euros competition fee per item.
Closing date is 31 May 2008.
1. Participants are reminded that there is no promise to publish their
work.
2. Participants must ensure that they are the sole copyright owners of
the
submitted work and that
no third party rights are violated.
3. Participants authorize ALFA to publish their work without violation
of any rights.
The prize ceremony will take place on ALFA´s third birthday – 15th
September 2008.

ALFA - Literature Competition
ALFA, the association of literature friends in the Algarve, is running
its first Literature Competition .
The theme is ´Red Shoes´.
The object of the competition is to have a theme on which everyone can
take part. It can be a poem, short story, song, painting, photo,
sculpture,
or any other medium.
Each person is only allowed one entry in each medium.
Members of the jury are not allowed to enter.
The entry must be your own work (maximum 10 A 4 pages, 30 lines/page).
Its title must not only be ´red shoes´ as the entries
need to be distinguishable.
The prizes: 1. Large ALFI*
2. Small ALFI
*ALFI is ALFA’s mascot, a reading rat, thus being a type of trophy: In other
competitions you can win an Oscar or a globe – here
you can win an Alfi.
The best entries will be published in an anthology called ´Red Shoes´.
Competition Rules
The text should be in WORD format on CD and printed on paper in 2
copies.
Paintings and photos should be in on CD in JPG.format.
Together with the text please give the following
information:
Name and address of the author/s, Title of the Work, Date of Birth,
short biographical note (c. 3-5 lines), permission to publish the work.
Please enclose three 57 c stamps.
Closing date is 31 March 2006.

3. Participants garantuee, that the submitted works have not been
